Notice is hereby given that the 56th Annual General Meeting of the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club will be held on Sunday May 27th 2012 at 4pm in the West Beach SLSC Club Rooms.
The following members have held their positions on the board for two years are therefore their positions are up for nomination.
- Director Member Services and Secretary (Kathleen O’Riley)
- Colin Sharp (Director of Surf Sports)
- Jim Hettner (Director of Youth and Development)
- Steven Rypp (Director of Education and Training)
Level 2 Surf Coaches Course
Expressions of interest are now being called from anyone interested in undertaking a Level 2 Surf Coach Course. Please register your interest on the attached form.
This is for the annual National Level 2 Coaching Course that will this year be conducted in Adelaide on 16th and 17th June 2012.
Members wishing to enrol in the Level 2 Surf Coach course must satisfy the following criteria:
- Be a current financial member of a club affiliated with SLSSA.
- Be a current level 1 Surf Coach, with minimum 1 year coaching since completing the level 1 course.
- Must complete the pre-course assignment prior to attending. This will be available from SLSA in late May
- Must complete a post-course assignment

Change of venue to Westminster from Friday 18th May.

Rescue 2012
Adelaide will play host to the worlds lifesavers on 4 -18 November 2012, as they host the World Lifesaving Championships.
Rescue 2012 will be held at Christies Beach and Glenelg Beach as well the state-of-the-art Aquatic Centre at Marion, which will host the pool events.
South Australia Events, through the South Australian Government have teamed up with Surf Life Saving and the International Lifesaving to deliver the event in Australia.

Swim with the Life Savers
This programme has finished for this season. It will be back bigger and better next season.
This program is open to all members of the Community and to members of the Club.
