SURF LIFE SAVING AUSTRALIA COMMITMENT STATEMENT

Surf Life Saving Australia is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all Children & Young People (CYP) who are involved in SLS. Our policies and procedures seek to address risks to child safety and to establish child safe culture and practices in line with the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

All clubs have a responsibility to create child-safe environments and minimise the risk of harm and/or abuse of children and young people. Everyone who participates in and/or contributes to a club has some responsibility to ensuring and maintaining safe environments for children and young people.

In Surf Life Saving we commit to deliver a safe, fair and inclusive environment for all members through our affiliation to Surf Lifesaving  Australia. 

 

REPORT CHILD SAFE MATTERS

If you have any concerns or issues, please contact the club Child Safe Officers in the first instance. There is a process that the club will follow.

Surf Life Saving Australia have developed an online form system, allowing members and public to access electronic versions of our traditional paper forms.


Complaint and Grievance Form.
Please ensure that you have familiarised yourself with the Complaints Resolution Policy, Flowchart prior to lodging your complaint or grievance. Any issues, need to proceed through the club and have an attempt to be resolved, prior to lodging this complaint.

If you have concerns about a child's safety and the matter is urgent or the safety, health or welfare of a child or victim is at risk please call the Police emergency number 000.
