New & Renewing Members - How to Join

Important Information

Registration is now online only via the Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) website.

Payments can be made any time from 1st August 2020 and Renewals are due by 30th November to ensure proficiencies can be signed off before 31st December 2020.

Joining is a 2 part process - you will need to complete both:

Part 1)           Join or Update your details (SLSA)

Part 2)           Payment (end of the application process)

 Instructions for Joining

  1. Open the SLSA Joining Area: https://sls.com.au/join/
  2. The following options will appear on your screen :

Select No - Join for New Member Sign Up or Yes Create/Retrieve Account for

Existing Member Renewal

(Please Note : if you are looking to Transfer Membership from another club please contact:  registrar@westbeachslsc.com.au  and she will guide you through our process for Transfers)

New Members

Note Nippers:- at least 1 parent/guardian for each family will be required to volunteer and a roster will be shared for both ‘On the beach’ & BBQ duties.

  1. Select ‘Surf Life Saving Club’
  2. Select State: ‘Surf Life Saving SA’
  3. Select ‘West Beach’
  4. Type = your Personal Details & enter CAPTCHA code
  5. Select ‘Continue’
  6. Enter email, phone, address & emergency contact details as required (mandatory fields are outlined in red) then complete the SLSA MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION AND DECLARATION
  7. Select ‘Submit the Form’
  8. The following screen will then appear :
  9. Click on the link shown underneath Making Payment - this will then take you to the Online Payments page (see How to Pay below)

Renewing Members

Note Nippers:- at least 1 parent/guardian for each family will be required to volunteer and a roster will be shared for both ‘On the beach’ & BBQ duties.

  1. Enter your user name (ie firstnamesurname ) and password
  2. Select ‘Renew’ for Individuals (or Family Group ‘click here’ if applicable)
  3. Check and Update all details
  4. Tick both Declaration boxes at bottom of screen
  5. Select ‘Submit’
  6. The following screen will then appear :
  7. Select Make a Payment
  8. The following screen will then appear :
  9. Select Pay Online - this will then take you to the Online Payments page (see How to Pay below)

Sport Voucher Discount (Nippers Only)

The Government of SA provides an opportunity for primary school aged children (up to Year 7) to receive a $100 discount on sports. If you have not already utilised this discount on other sports within the same calendar year, please follow the below steps:

  1. Complete the sport voucher registration (available to complete online then print or to print & complete at

  1. Note:- Please remember to complete the Reference No for your child from the Medicare Card. Email the completed voucher to registrar@westbeachslsc.com.au or hand in to the uniform shop during nippers
  2. Deduct the appropriate amount (2020/21 $100) within the payment section of our membership registration (SLSA West Beach Members Portal)

Note:- if you have already used this discount on other sports, our Registrars will advise you of this and the discounted amount will be payable to West Beach SLSC. For more information visit   https://sportsvouchers.sa.gov.au/

 

How to Pay

Preferred payment option is Card Payment via the Online Portal.

Note:- Cash Payment cannot be made over the bar at the Café. (Social memberships excepted) If you are having difficulty paying via the portal please contact us via registrar@westbeachslsc.com.au 

All fields should pre-fill from previous information entered. Please check these are correct (Family memberships please ensure all members names are in the ‘Payment Details’ field).  Note:- ensure you have completed the Receipt Email Address to ensure you have a record of your payment)

  1. Calculate the Amount due using the list provided on screen and complete the Amount field. (remember to deduct $100 Sports Voucher amount if you are claiming this rebate)
  2. Select ‘Next’
  3. Complete your card details then select ‘Next’ to complete your payment. A receipt will be emailed to you and the club verifying the payment.
