Awards for Season 2011/12:

The final Bronze squad for the 2011/12 season will be commencing the week of the 20^th of February (trained by Shayan Gunawardena and Steven Rypp). Expression of interest required (before dates and training times) until Friday the 10^th of February. There will be a maximum number of 10 people allocated to the squad and there are 7 remaining to date.

2. Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC):

 We have a squad about to start to allocate for the extra 5 people that have registered interest to do this award and final training times will be confirmed this week.

3. IRB Driver and Crew

Register interest to Dave Afford on 0408 318 335 as a squad is starting for this award this week and a meeting is about to be called.

4. Senior First Aid:

5. ATV Rhino:

One Final Course for season 2011/12.  Sunday February 19^th starting at 10.30am. Register interest to me via email, text or phone asap as I will only be running this course if we have at least 5 people that register. 

6. Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificate (ARTC) 

The next squad will be starting on Monday the 13th of February at 6.30pm at our West Beach SLSC.  Our Qualified ARTC Trainer Shayan Gunawardena will be taking the squad. RSVP directly to Steven Rypp on 0403 772 851 or rypsj001@mymail.unisa.edu.au

7. Spinal Management 

The latest update is that courses are likely to begin in April with Sarah Goodwin as soon as state centre have completed the updating of the resources. 

8. Train the Trainer Certificate and Training Officers Certificate: 

• We are seeking expressions of interest for people that want to complete their Train the Trainer Certificate. Paul Rafanelli from our club and TAFE SA are happy to offer another course this season but we need 6 people at s a minimum to register interest.  Close of registrations/expressions of interest for this course is Friday 18^th of February.  2 members have registered to date

Proficiencies for Season 2011/12:

• All Proficiencies are now completed for this season for these awards. 

• If you still need to complete the proficiency for one of these awards then you will need to contact me to arrange a time with one of our 5 Bronze/SRC Assessors or one of our 3 IRB Assessors and it will depend on their availability.

 2. Senior First Aid: 

• Extra Courses for this 2011/12 Season to update your award 

• This proficiency or update course needs to be done through state centre so please call Gareth Morgan from Surf SA on 8354 6900 if your qualification is or has expired. You can also book into a course at the following link but make sure you seek prior approval from me to book this course online for free otherwise you will be invoiced from the club:
