Surf Life Saving is a learned skill and members from the age of 13 onwards can start to gain qualifying awards that allow them to participate in this icon of Australian Culture.  Our  Nipper program caters for children 5 to 13 and provides a great opportunity for them to gain surf safety information and skills.   

West Beach provides a fun filled intensive program over the summer season, which has a total family approach.   Many families make lifelong friends from their involvement in Nippers and enjoy the social activities provided.   There is also a competition focus for those interested in training.

The West Beach SLSC is very proud of our Nipper Program and our achievements in State Competition over recent years and we look forward to remaining competitive in 2011 / 2012.

Membership Categories and Fees for 2011 / 2012 

Senior (Open) $100 

A senior member is any person over the age of 18 and considered to be an active patrolling member (includes march past members).   Includes costs for entry into Senior States, Masters States and Australian Titles Championships, unrestricted access to the gym and a member discount card for members who hold either the Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion. 

Does not include a complimentary social membership for other family members.    

New Senior $185

A New bronze senior member is any person over the age of 18 that is new to the club and wants to get their Bronze. Includes training manual and patrol uniform and all other benefits applicable elsewhere for this age group

Social $60 

Will receive a membership discount card and club sticker - this card entitles the member to discounts on food and drinks at the club.  

This membership does not include access to the gym.

Family $240 

A family membership includes all immediate family members excluding children over the age of 18 (2 Adult Seniors/Social/2+ juniors). 

Includes above categories items as appropriate.  Includes member discount cards for adults and SRC holders.

Under 18 – existing member  $55

Under 18 is any person under the age of 18. Includes costs for entry into Senior State Championships and Australian Titles Championships.   Includes member discount card.

Under 18 – new member $110 

A New Under 18 member is any person under the age of 18 that is new to the club and wants to get their bronze.

Includes training manual and patrol uniform and all other benefits applicable elsewhere for this age group.

 
5 to 14 year olds $95 

A junior is any person under the age of 14.

Includes costs for entry into Junior State Championships, Australian Titles Championships (U14 age group only), insurances and end of season trophy.   Includes a complimentary social membership for 1 parent and member discount cards.   Does not include access to the gym. 

5-14 year olds (2nd & subsequent members) $45 

Applies to the siblings of other registered financial members, aged 5-14.   Includes a member discount card.  Does not include a complimentary parent social membership or gym access.

 
Please note that proof of age/birth is a club policy requirement for all new junior club members.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

Renewal of membership is due, with completion required by 30th November 2011. 

The registration form may be completed either:

• By amending the attached pre printed registration form and returning it to the club.
